GAFFNEY, S.C.—Limestone College is accepting nominations for the Athletics Hall of Fame from alumni and friends of Saints athletics. The Limestone College Athletic Hall of Fame honors individuals whose athletic achievements or services have enriched the Saints athletic programs or brought fame to the College. It recognizes and provides an enduring memorial for those persons who have made lasting and significant contributions to the cause of sports at Limestone College.

GAFFNEY, S.C.—Fifty Limestone College student-athletes were named Conference Carolinas 2009-10 Academic All-Conference. The recipients of this honor exemplify conference member institutions’ commitment to “Academics and Athletics Working Together,” as part of a continued league-wide commitment.

GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College field hockey and women’s soccer teams participated in the ninth annual A Taste of Cherokee event, which was hosted by the Cherokee County Service Center, Piedmont Chapter, the American Red Cross, and Interim HealthCare. Limestone’s booth featured a South Carolina beach theme, complete with beach music and dancing.

3.9.10 | Cheerleading
The Limestone College cheerleaders ended the season on a high note by placing second and third in the team’s first-ever cheerleading competition. Nine members of the cheerleading team traveled to Concord, N.C., to compete in the Christian Cheerleaders of America National Cheerleading Competition at the Cabarrus Arena on Saturday, March 6. Limestone had two groups compete in the Open Stunt Division.

GAFFNEY, S.C.- The No. 34 nationally ranked Limestone College men’s tennis team fell to No. 30 Lees-McRae 7-2 on Monday afternoon at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center. The Saints record now stands at 4-4 on the season and 1-1 in Conference Carolinas action while the Bobcats improve their record to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

The Saints record now stands at 2-7 overall this season and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas play while the Bobcats improve their record to 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Limestone College baseball team took two non-conference games from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Monday. The Saints won game one 6-2 and took the second game 9-3. With the wins Limestone improves to 9-10 on the year and IUP falls to 3-6. Limestone used a pair of complete game efforts from their starting pitchers in picking up the Monday sweep.

GAFFNEY, S.C.— The No. 4-ranked Limestone College women’s lacrosse team defeated Fort Lewis College 20-1 on Monday afternoon at Saints Field. Limestone climbs to 5-0 on the season as the Skyhawks fall to 0-2.

Gaffney, S.C. — The Limestone College men’s lacrosse team remains the fifth-ranked squad in the latest USILA Division II Poll released on Monday, March 8. The Saints, who dropped an 8-6 decision to second-ranked Le Moyne on Sunday in Severna Park, Maryland, received 63 points in this week’s balloting.
