The Limestone College men’s basketball team missed getting an NCAA Division II tournament bid on Sunday as the tournament bracket was announced via video webcast on NCAA.com. Despite missing out on an NCAA berth, the Saints had one of their greatest seasons in recent years as the team was ranked No. 5 in the latest Southeast Regional rankings.

HIGH POINT, N.C.- Limestone College’s Jarrell Douglass (Leesburg, Fla.) and Danny Friend (Morrow, Ga.) were both named Second-Team All-Conference for basketball in Conference Carolinas as voted by the leagues’ head coaches. Douglass and Friend have led the Saints to their best winning percentage since joining NCAA Division II (20-8/.714 win pct.) as well as posting their best ever conference finish of 2nd place with a 14-6 league record.

Gaffney, S.C. - The Limestone College men’s basketball team remains at the No. 5 ranking in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region Rankings released on Wednesday (3/3). The Saints who posted their best ever finish in the Conference Carolinas regular season standings placing second with a 14-6 league mark, have won 10 of their past 11 games and closed out the regular season 20-8. Limestone’s 20-win season is the most wins in a season for the program since the 2006-07 campaign when the Saints went 20-9. The last time the team only had 8 losses was during the 1983-84 season.

GAFFNEY, S.C.— The #2-seeded Limestone College Saints were knocked out of the Conference Carolinas tournament after a 79-64 loss to #7-seeded Belmont Abbey on Tuesday night at the Timken Center. The Saints post a 20-8 overall record as the Crusaders improve to 15-13.

HIGH POINT, N.C.—Limestone College’s Jarrell Douglass (Leesburg, Fla.) was named the Conference Carolinas men’s basketball Player of the Week, as released on Tuesday by the league office. Douglass helped Limestone (20-7 overall) extend its current win streak to ten games as he averaged 22 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game last week.

The Limestone College basketball teams will host the opening rounds of the Conference Carolinas men’s and women’s basketball tournaments next week.  The Saint women, seeded #3 in the tournament with a 15-7 league record, will host #6-seeded Belmont Abbey on Monday, March 1 at 7 p.m. in the Timken Center. The Limestone men, who posted a program-best finish of second-place in the league’s regular season standings with a 14-6 conference record, will host #7-seeded Belmont Abbey on Tuesday, March 2 at 7 p.m.

Gaffney, S.C. - The Limestone College men’s basketball team has moved up to the No. 5 ranking in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region Rankings released on Wednesday. The Saints were ranked sixth in the previous poll and moved up following wins road wins at Coker (76-69) and Belmont Abbey (70-62) plus a non-conference win at the Timken Center against North Greenville (80-76).

Limestone, ranked No. 5 in today’s NCAA Division II Southeast region poll, improves to 19-7 on the season (12-6 conference) as the Fleet stand at 11-15 (8-11 league).

Belmont, N.C. – The regionally sixth-ranked Limestone men’s basketball team ran it’s win streak to seven games on Saturday with a crucial 70-62 Conference Carolinas victory at Belmont Abbey. The win means that the Saints maintain at least a tie record wise for second place in the league standings. Limestone is now 12-6 within conference play and 17-7 overall.
