HARTSVILLE, S.C.—The Limestone College softball team suffered a 10-2 loss to St. Andrews in the consolation round of the Conference Carolinas tournament on Saturday morning. The Saints stand at 27-26 overall with the loss as St. Andrews improves to 19-26.

HARTSVILLE, S.C.— The Limestone College softball team was edged by Coker, 3-2, in extra innings on Friday afternoon at the Conference Carolinas Tournament. The #1-seeded Saints (27-25 overall) will play #6 St. Andrews in the consolation bracket tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. Coker (18-17), the #8 seed, will play the winner of the #4 Queens/#5 Erskine game on Saturday at 2 p.m. The tournament, hosted by Coker College, is being held at Byerly Park.

HARTSVILLE, S.C.—Limestone College’s Christina Woolgar (Orangevale, Calif.), Kristy Witten (Sykesville, Md.) and Jenna Guse (Pearland, Texas) were named to the All-Conference Softball Team for Conference Carolinas, as announced at the championship banquet on Thursday.  Jimmy Martin was named Coach of the Year, as Woolgar earned Player of the Year honors, and Guse was named Freshman of the Year.

The Limestone College softball team claimed its first Conference Carolinas regular season championship as the team finished regular season conference play with a 12-4 record (27-24 overall).

The Limestone College softball games scheduled for this afternoon at Lees-McRae and tomorrow afternoon against St. Andrews have been cancelled. The Saints travel to Hartsville, S.C., to participate in the Conference Carolinas tournament on April 17-19. The conference tournament is hosted by Coker College.

The Limestone College softball, baseball and tennis contests scheduled for this afternoon have been postponed due to rain. The Lady Saints softball team will now host St. Andrews on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Lady Saints Field in Gaffney, S.C. The Saints baseball game against Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, N.C., has also been postponed, but a make-up date has not been set. The men’s and women’s tennis teams will host Mount Olive College on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center in Gaffney.

DUE WEST, S.C.— The Limestone College softball team’s 16-game win streak was snapped as the Saints were edged 7-6 in game one of their doubleheader against Erskine College on Friday afternoon. However, Limestone recovered for a convincing 5-0 win in game two. The Saints stand at 27-24 overall and 12-4 in Conference Carolinas play, while the Fleet improve to 19-17 overall and 6-6 in the league.

GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Saints softball team extended its win streak to 16 games with two wins over Conference Carolinas-rival Anderson University on Thursday afternoon at Lady Saints Field. Limestone climbs to 26-23 overall (11-3 league) as the Trojans stand at 17-24 overall (3-11 league). The Saints won the first game 6-1 and won game two 3-0.

HIGH POINT, N.C.— Limestone College’s Madison Carpenter (Anderson, S.C.) was named Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week, as released by the league office on Tuesday.  Carpenter turned out three wins and two saves last week for Limestone.

GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Limestone College softball team swept its doubleheader against Coker College on Monday afternoon at Lady Saints Field. The Saints, whose win streak now stands at 14 games, improve to 24-23 overall and 9-3 in the conference after today’s Conference Carolinas victories. The Cobras stand at 14-17 overall and 6-10 in the league. Limestone won game one 9-1, and took the second contest 3-0.
