The Limestone College baseball game at Wingate University slated for Wednesday, February 3, has been postponed due to the rain. A make-up date has not been set. The Saints are now scheduled to open their season on Thursday, February 4 when they host Anderson University at Bob Prevatte Field at 2 p.m. in Gaffney, S.C.

Gaffney, S.C.--Limestone has announced an updated winter video webcast schedule and has released its 2010 spring video webcasting schedule. The updated winter schedule includes men’s and women’s basketball while the spring schedule includes men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s volleyball, baseball, and softball. A total of 28 spring sports contests are scheduled to be webcasted. To access a video webcast you may go to www.golimestonesaints.com or www.pennatlantic.com. SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—Former Limestone College baseball player Kevin Pucetas has joined the San Francisco Giants’ 40-man roster. The major league club purchased the contracts of Pucetas and three other players.

The Saints baseball program will hold a Showcase Camp on November 14 at Bob Prevatte Field on the Limestone College campus. The Limestone College Baseball Showcase Camp presents a great opportunity for prospective student-athletes to showcase their abilities to area college programs while continuing to improve and refine their talents. This camp is not a tryout. Players will receive quality instruction and academic enhancement lectures. Enrollment is limited to ensure personal attention in each and every aspect of the game.

Limestone College assistant baseball coach Mike Ranson and former Saint Ryan McKenzie helped the Forest City Owls win the Coastal Plain League Pettit Cup Championship. The Owls defeated the Peninsula Pilots in the CPL Championship Series 5-1 to claim the title.

Former Saint pitcher Kevin Pucetas will represent the Fresno Grizzlies on the Pacific Coast League All-Star Team. Pucetas, a standout for the Triple-A Grizzlies, will play in the game on July 15 at 7:05 p.m. at PGE Park in Portland, Ore. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2.

WINGATE, N.C.--The Limestone College Saints scored three runs in the eighth inning to tie the game at five, then scored a run in the 10th to take a 6-5 win over the Bulldogs of Wingate University in Division II baseball action Tuesday night at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. The Saints improve to 26-21 overall while Wingate falls to 23-27.

WILSON, N.C.—The Limestone College baseball team was eliminated from the Conference Carolinas tournament with an 11-6 loss to Mount Olive College on Friday afternoon at Nixon Field. The Saints stand at 25-21 overall with the loss as the Trojans climb to 28-17.

WILSON, N.C.—Four Limestone College baseball players garnered All-Conference Carolinas honors on Thursday night at the league tournament banquet, hosted by Barton College. Outfielder Aldo Mendez (Cidra, Puerto Rico) was named to the First Team, while first baseman Drew Lydon (White Plains, Md.), pitcher Jordan Barnett (Richlands, Va.), and outfielder Greg Dailey (Baltimore, Md.) received Second-Team honors.

WILSON, N.C. -- Left-hander Kramer Sneed was solid on the mound and Barton College banged out 12 hits Thursday afternoon to defeat Limestone 5-3 in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Baseball Tournament at Fleming Stadium. Barton is seeded third and Limestone is sixth.
