3.1.2010 | Women's Basketball
GAFFNEY, S.C.—The #3-seeded Limestone College women’s basketball team fell to #6-seeded Belmont Abbey College 75-67 in the first round of the Conference Carolinas tournament on Monday at the Timken Center. The Saints end their season with a 17-11 overall record as the Abbey improves to 18-10 on the season.

2.28.2010 | Men's Basketball
The Limestone College basketball teams will host the opening rounds of the Conference Carolinas men’s and women’s basketball tournaments next week.  The Saint women, seeded #3 in the tournament with a 15-7 league record, will host #6-seeded Belmont Abbey on Monday, March 1 at 7 p.m. in the Timken Center. The Limestone men, who posted a program-best finish of second-place in the league’s regular season standings with a 14-6 conference record, will host #7-seeded Belmont Abbey on Tuesday, March 2 at 7 p.m.

GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College women’s basketball team ended the regular season with a 70-50 victory over St. Andrews in women’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon. Limestone improves to 15-7 in the conference (17-10 overall) as the Knights fall to 1-21 in league play (3-23 overall).

GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College basketball team donated several pairs of shoes to the Soles4Souls program. The Saints dropped off their donation at the Timberland Store at the Prime Outlet Mall.

GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Limestone College women’s basketball game won a crucial Conference Carolinas contest tonight at the Timken Center with a 67-61 victory over Erskine College. Limestone stands at 15-11 overall and 14-7 in league play as the Fleet fall to 11-14 overall and 10-11 in the conference.

BELMONT, N.C.—The Limestone College women’s basketball team cruised to a 68-51 win over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday evening. The Saints’ sharp shooting led to the victory as Limestone was 9-14 in 3-pointers (64.3%) and 27-45 from the field (60%). The Saints improve to 15-10 overall and 13-7 in the conference after tonight’s win. The Abby stands at 14-6 in conference play and 16-9 overall.

HARTSVILLE, S.C.—The Limestone College women’s basketball team defeated Conference Carolinas rival Coker College 76-40 on Monday night. The Saints climb to 14-10 overall (12-7 league) as the Cobras slip to 3-21 overall (2-17 overall).

The Bulldogs remain at the top of the conference standings with a 16-1 league record (17-5 overall).

GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is sponsoring a “Black and White/Officials Appreciation Night” during the Saints’ basketball games against Barton College on Saturday night. Fans are encouraged to wear black and white to the games in order to support the officials. The women’s game tips off at 5:30 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at 7:30 p.m.
