The Limestone College spring sports teams are gearing up for the upcoming Conference Carolinas tournaments. While the lacrosse tournaments are slated for April 23-25, Limestone’s men’s tennis, softball, golf, and track and field teams will compete for the league championships this weekend.

GREENEVILLE, TN – The Limestone College women’s golf team finished 14 at the 13th Annual Agnes McAmis Memorial Golf Invitational at Link Hill Country Club in Greenville, TN., while Lady Saints’ junior Ansley Smith placed 38th overall in the two-day event.

Montreat, N.C. – The Limestone College women’s golf team placed second at the Montreat College Spring Invitational while Lady Saints freshmen Britni Gregory earned medalist honors in the tournament which was shortened to 27 holes due to weather at Glenn Cannon Country Club.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Limestone College women’s golf team finished 14th out of as many teams in Dana Radar Invitational which concluded on Tuesday at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte, N.C.

Laurinburg, N.C. – The Limestone College women’s golf team opened its 2010 spring season over the weekend finishing fifth at the St. Andrews Spring Invitational. The Lady Saints posted a two round team total of 782 (385-397). Belmont Abbey won the event carding a 633 (+57).

CALABASH, N.C.—The Limestone College women’s golf team finished 12th at the Lenoir-Rhyne Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Saints carded a two-round score of 738 (376-362) during the competition. The tournament was held at the par-72, 5,802-yard Meadowlands Golf Club.

CALABASH, N.C.— The Limestone College women’s golf team carded 376 in the first round of the Lenoir-Rhyne Intercollegiate to finish the day in 12th place in the 13-team field. The tournament is being played at the par 72, 5,802-yard Meadowlands Golf Club.

ETOWAH, N.C.—The Limestone College women’s golf team finished fourth in the six-team field at the Women Independent Collegiate hosted by Lincoln Memorial. The Lady Saints carded a one round score of 351. Ansley Smith led the team with a third place finish as she scored 78.

ANDERSON, S.C.— The Limestone College women’s golf team opened its fall season with a seventh-place finish at the Anderson University Invitational. The tournament was held at the par-72, 5,952-yard Cobbs Glen Country Club. Ansley Smith recorded the Lady Saints’ top finish as she took third with a two-round score of 160 (81-79).

4.21.09 | Men's Golf, Women's Golf
Kyle Scruggs (Chesnee, S.C.) carded an even par 70 at the 2009 Conference Carolinas championship, hosted by Belmont Abbey College at the Tanglewood Park Championship course in Clemmons, North Carolina.  The sophomore recorded 216 strokes over 54 holes, earning first place overall with a 6-over-par.  The men's team finished with 899 strokes over three days, capturing 4th place out of 11 teams.  The women's team completed day three with a 418 for a three day total 1255.

The Limestone men’s team made a move on day two jumping into fourth place.  In the women's tournament, Limestone was able to drop one stroke from their first round, earning the team a 418 on day two.
