4.21.2009 | Men's Golf
Kyle Scruggs (Chesnee, S.C.) carded an even par 70 at the 2009 Conference Carolinas championship, hosted by Belmont Abbey College at the Tanglewood Park Championship course in Clemmons, North Carolina.  The sophomore recorded 216 strokes over 54 holes, earning first place overall with a 6-over-par.  The men's team finished with 899 strokes over three days, capturing 4th place out of 11 teams.  The women's team completed day three with a 418 for a three day total 1255.

The Limestone men’s team made a move on day two jumping into fourth place.  In the women's tournament, Limestone was able to drop one stroke from their first round, earning the team a 418 on day two.

Luke McClellan (West Columbia, S.C.) and Ansley Smith (Blythewood, S.C.) were both named to the All-Conference Carolina Team on Sunday.  McClellan was named to the men's second team and was also honored as the "Freshman of the Year."  Smith earned third team honors for the women's team.

Clemmons, N.C.-- The Belmont Abbey men (289) and the Pfeiffer women (319) lead after the opening round of the 2009 Conference Carolinas Championships, hosted by Belmont Abbey at the Tanglewood Park Championship Course.

The final round of the 2009 Agnes McAmis Memorial Women’s Golf Invitational has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The Link Hills Country Club received a dusting of snow and rain overnight, accompanied with freezing temperatures has eliminated the final round of the 36-hole tournament.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Limestone College women's golf team shot an opening round score 424 at the Agnes  McAmis Memorial Invitational to finish the day in 19th place.  Tusculum College, hosting the event at Link Hills Country Club, is in 10th place (347), while Belmont Abbey College leads all 19 programs with an opening round score of 310.
