GAFFNEY, S.C.—Limestone College is accepting nominations for the Athletics Hall of Fame from alumni and friends of Saints athletics. The Limestone College Athletic Hall of Fame honors individuals whose athletic achievements or services have enriched the Saints athletic programs or brought fame to the College. It recognizes and provides an enduring memorial for those persons who have made lasting and significant contributions to the cause of sports at Limestone College.

The Limestone College men’s tennis team will be making its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II tournament on May 6-8 in Savannah, Ga., at Armstrong Atlantic State University. Play begins on Thursday, May 6, at 10 a.m. with a pair of first-round matches. The Peach Belt Conference’s Flagler (13-8 overall) and Conference Carolinas’ Limestone (12-10) will meet in one matchup, while Conference Carolinas rivals Anderson (13-8) and Lees-McRae (15-5) will meet in the other first round matchup.

The Limestone College men’s tennis team is hoping for its second NCAA tournament bid in program history. The Saints will find out their fate during the NCAA Division Tournament Selection Show tonight at 7 p.m. The announcement will be broadcast live via the internet. The live video broadcast will be available at www.ncaa.com.

SUMTER, S.C.—The #4-seeded Limestone College men’s tennis team finished third at the Conference Carolinas tournament on Saturday evening. Despite losing to #1-seeded Lees-McRae 5-1 earlier in the day, Limestone recovered for a 5-0 shutout over #3-seeded Mount Olive. The Saints’ record stands at 12-10 with today’s results.

SUMTER, S.C.—The #4-seeded Limestone College men’s tennis team defeated #5 Barton 5-2 in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas tournament on Friday. The Saints advance to play the winner of the #1 Lees-McRae/#8 Pfeiffer match tomorrow morning at noon. With today’s win, Limestone’s record improves to 11-9 overall.

SUMTER, S.C.—Limestone College Head Tennis Coach Keith Turner was named Conference Carolinas men’s tennis Coach of the Year on Thursday evening at the conference tournament tennis banquet. The Saints’ Miguel Lopez Zuniga (Guanajuato, Mexico) earned First-Team All-Conference honors and Paulo Avila (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) garnered Third-Team honors on the men’s side, while Jimena Munoz Quiroga (La Candelaria, Coyoacan, Mexico) and Eve Aubry (Boucherville, Quebec, Canada) earned Second-Team accolades on the women’s side.

The Limestone College spring sports teams are gearing up for the upcoming Conference Carolinas tournaments. While the lacrosse tournaments are slated for April 23-25, Limestone’s men’s tennis, softball, golf, and track and field teams will compete for the league championships this weekend.
