PUCETAS JOINS GIANTS' ROSTER

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—Former Limestone College baseball player Kevin Pucetas has joined the San Francisco Giants’ 40-man roster. The major league club purchased the contracts of Pucetas and three other players.
Pucetas spent the entire 2009 season with the Fresno Grizzles, a Triple-A ball club. He finished the season with a 10-6 record and a 5.04 ERA in 28 starts. He has a minor league career record of 42-13.
Pucetas, a native of Spartanburg, S.C., was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 17
th round of the 2006 First Year Player Draft. During his time with the Saints from 2002-03 through 2005-06, he was named the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference’s 2006 Pitcher of the Year and was a two-time All-Conference honoree. He also garnered American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region honors in 2005.
