LAURINBURG, N.C. -- Ansley Smith (Blythewood, S.C.) finished in a three way-tie for seventh place to lead the Saints in the St. Andrew's Spring Invitational. Smith completed her second round 13 strokes over par for an 85 in the second round and 178 for the tournament.
St. Leo took home the top spot at the Invite, turning in a 670 in two rounds. Anna Riss also took home first place in individual scores for St. Leo. Limestone completed two rounds with a two round score of 899.
Smith tied with two golfers from St. Leo in Goeon Lee and Kristin Caravallo. The Blythewood native entered Tuesday's shotgun start tied for 16th place with a first round 93, but turned in one of the top scores for the second round.
The women's golf team will return to action on March 15 at the Lynior Rhyne Invitational.
