LIMESTONE SPRING SPORTS COMPETE IN CONFERENCE TOURNAMENTS THIS WEEKEND

GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Limestone College spring sports teams will compete in the Conference Carolinas tournaments this weekend.
Baseball
The baseball team, seeded #6 in the tournament, will open conference play on Thursday at 1 p.m. against #3 Barton in Wilson, N.C. Barton College is hosting the event.

Men’s and Women’s Golf
The men’s and women’s golf teams will begin their tournament on April 21. The event is hosted by Belmont Abbey College at the Tanglewood Park Golf Club in Clemmons, N.C.

Men’s Lacrosse
The Limestone College men’s lacrosse team earned the #1 seed in the tournament. The Saints, also the regular season co-champions, earned a bye in the first round and will play the winner of the #4 Belmont Abbey/#5 St. Andrews game on Friday, April 17 at 5 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The men’s lacrosse conference tournament championship is hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.

Women’s Lacrosse
The Lady Saints lacrosse team earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament and the regular season championship title. Limestone will have home field advantage during the event as the Lady Saints host the semifinal and championship games on Saturday and Sunday in Gaffney, S.C., at Saints Field. Limestone, having earned a bye for the first round, will host the winner of the #4 St. Andrews/#5 Queens game on Saturday, April 18 at 11:30 a.m. at Saints Field.
Softball
The Saints will begin postseason play on April 16. Limestone will face the winner of the #8 Coker/#9 Barton game on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. The event is being hosted by Coker College in Hartsville, S.C.

Men's and Women's Tennis
The men’s and women’s tennis tournaments will be held in Sumter, S.C., on April 17-19 and are hosted by Erskine College. The Saints tennis team, who finished third in the conference regular season standings, will open tournament play on Friday when it faces #6 Pfeiffer. The women's tennis team, seeded #5 in the tournament, will face #4 Coker in its opening match on Friday.

The men’s and women’s track teams will be making their first appearances in the conference championship meet. This year’s competition is hosted by Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, N.C.
