LADY SAINTS TENNIS DEFEATS COKER IN CONFERENCE QUARTERFINALS

SUMTER, S.C.—The Limestone College women’s tennis team defeated Coker College 5-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Conference Carolinas tournament on Friday. The Lady Saints’ record improves to 9-8 overall. Limestone, seeded # 5 in the competition, will play #1 Mount Olive in the tournament semifinals tomorrow at noon.

Eve Aubry (Boucherville, Quebec, Canada) and Jen Snaider (Asuncion, Paraguay) won at the No. 1 doubles flight (9-8 (7-3)). Jimena Munoz Quiroga (La Candelaria, Coyoacan, Mexico) and Dunja Drmac (Split, Croatia) teamed up for an 8-4 win at the No. 2 slot, while Courtney Guerrieri (Union, SC) and Bridget Knowles (Hendersonville, NC) won at No. 3 (8-2).

Drmac also got a win at the No. 3 singles flight as she defeated Cassidy Spencer (6-1, 6-1). Knowles defeated Ashley Pace at the No. 5 spot (6-4, 6-1).

The Conference Carolinas tennis tournament is hosted by Erskine College.
