LADY SAINTS TENNIS FALLS TO ERSKINE

DUE WEST, S.C.— The Limestone College women’s tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to Erskine College on Friday afternoon. The Lady Saints stand at 4-2 in league play after today’s Conference Carolinas defeat (7-5 overall).
Limestone played several close matches. Limestone’s No. 1 doubles team of Eve Aubry (Boucherville, Quebec, Canada) and Jen Snaider (Asuncion, Paraguay) were edged 8-6 by Britton Bignon and Kacie Knox.
The Lady Saints also fought hard in singles. Jimena Munoz Quiroga (Lomas de Cocoyoc, Morelys, Mexico) took the first set of the No. 1 singles flight 6-0, but fell 6-3, 10-6 in the remaining two sets. Snaider also forced her opponent to three sets after winning the first set 6-4. She lost 6-1, 10-3 in the last two sets.
Limestone hosts Coker College tomorrow at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center in Gaffney, S.C., at 1 p.m. On Sunday, the Saints head to Aiken, S.C., to play USC-Aiken at 1 p.m.
