TENNIS RESULTS FROM CONFERENCE CAROLINAS INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT

The Limestone College tennis teams competed in the Conference Carolinas Individual Tournament last weekend in Sumter, S.C. The Saints and Lady Saints had several strong performances during the event.
On the women’s side, Lauren Bolender (North Canton, Ohio) won the singles “B” draw consolation round. Eve Aubry (Boucherville, Quebec, Canada) and Jimena Munoz Quiroga (La Candelaria, Coyoacan, Mexico) advanced to the finals for the doubles “A” draw consolation bracket.
For the men, Jordan Vicain and Nicholas Shumate (Rock Hill, S.C.) lost in the finals of the doubles “B” consolation round. Paulo Avila (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Miguel Lopez Zuniga (Guanajuato, Mexico) reached the semifinals for the “A” draw doubles. Henrik Nordquist advanced to the semifinals of the “B” draw singles bracket.
Limestone returns to Sumter this weekend for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional on September 19-21.
