WOMEN'S GOLF TAKES 7TH AT ANDERSON INVITATIONAL

ANDERSON, S.C.— The Limestone College women’s golf team opened its fall season with a seventh-place finish at the Anderson University Invitational. The tournament was held at the par-72, 5,952-yard Cobbs Glen Country Club. Ansley Smith recorded the Lady Saints’ top finish as she took third with a two-round score of 160 (81-79).
Limestone’s Britni Gregory tied for 14th (86-84 160), Miranda Van Arsdale took 30th (89-89 178), and Rachael Hageman finished 39th (113-109 222).
Lenoir-Rhyne won the seven-team tournament with a final score of 656. Tusculum was second. Anderson and Lincoln Memorial tied for third, while Spartanburg Methodist finished fifth followed by Erskine.
The Lady Saints travel to Etowah Valley, N.C., to compete in the Lincoln Memorial Invitational on September 18-19. The tournament will be played at the Etowah Valley Country Club.
