Bookmark and Share
The Canadian Lacrosse Association has announced that Limestone College head coach Scott Tucker will serve as an assistant coach for the Under-19 Canadian National Team. Tuckers duties will include coordinating the offense, and assisting with scouting and game planning. Canada will compete at the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World U19 Championship in Hannover, Germany, during the summer of 2011.

The Under-19 World Lacrosse Championships (U-19's) are held separately for men and women every four years to find the world champions for the under-19 age group in lacrosse. The championships were first held for women in 1995 with USA winning 3 of 4 championships from 1995-2007. Canada earned bronze in 1999 and 2003 while finishing fourth in 1995 and 2007.

In Tucker’s tenure as Limestone’s head coach, the Saints have produced five consecutive regular season conference championships, three conference tournament championships (2006, 2008, 2009) and four NCAA tournament semifinal appearances (2004, 2006, 2008, 2009). The Lady Saints have been ranked in the top ten each of Tucker’s eight years at Limestone while breaking numerous program records. Tucker earned conference Coach of the Year honors in 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2009 and was named Inside Lacrosse Division II National Coach of the Year in 2006.
