GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Limestone College men’s tennis team w
as defeated by the College of Charleston (NCAA Division I) 7-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center. The match followed NCAA Division I scoring in which the doubles contests combine to count for one point. Limestone stands at 0-1 on the season.

Miguel Lopez Zuniga (Guanajuato, Mexico) and
Henrik Nordquist (Danderyd, Stockholm, Sweden) narrowly lost their doubles match at the No. 2 slot by the score of 8-6. Lopez Zuniga, playing at the No. 1 singles position, forced his opponent to three sets. He lost the first set 4-6 but recovered for a 7-5 win in set two before Lukas Koncilia clinched the match with a 6-4 win. Limestone’s
Christian Warnholtz (Queretaro, Mexico), playing at No. 2, also played three tough sets. He won the first one 6-4, but dropped the next two 6-2, 6-4.
Limestone hosts the USC-Aiken on Saturday at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
