GAFFNEY, S.C. – With Election Day 2020 just over a month away, the Limestone University Athletics Department and the Department's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce have launched the "Rock the Ballot Box" campaign to encourage students to register to vote and then cast a ballot on November 3.
Students, along with coaches or staff members, who have not yet registered to vote can do so by visiting
www.golimestonesaints.com/vote. To make sure that your voice is heard at the ballot box, and to participate in one of the most fundamental rights as an American citizen, click on the link to register. You can also request your absentee ballot, check to see if you are already registered to vote, sign up for election day reminders, and, if you are not old enough, pledge to register to vote on your 18
th birthday.
The "Rock the Ballot Box" campaign starts today – National Voter Registration Day – and runs through October 1. The deadline to register to vote in South Carolina is October 4 online and October 5 by mail while October 24 is the last day to request an absentee ballot. Be sure to check your state's deadlines.
The first 300 students to register will be entered into a random drawing to receive vouchers from the Limestone Campus Store. One of the first 300 hundred students will receive a $250 certificate, another will get a $100 certificate, and three will receive $50 vouchers to be used at the campus store. Simply take a screen shot of the completed form and send a direct message to any one of the three Limestone Athletics social media pages – Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram – to be entered into the drawing.
Make sure your voice is heard and "Rock the Ballot Box" on November 3.
