GAFFNEY, S.C.- Limestone University has announced the hiring of Bryce Caputo as Assistant Equipment Manager for the Blue and Gold. Upon receiving the position, Caputo said, "I am thrilled to be joining the Limestone University Athletic Department. I want to thank our Athletic Director, Michael H. Cerino, and Tony Iliano for giving me this opportunity. I'm excited to hit the ground running to support the student-athletes and coaches at this elite institution."
Caputo received his Bachelor of Arts in English degree from nearby Furman University in May of 2019. He then achieved a Master of Business Administration degree from North Greenville University in December of 2021.
Most recently, Caputo worked for First Team Sports Center in Greenville, S.C. as a warehouse assistant where he managed apparel and equipment inventory and organization, assisted in shipping and receiving duties, and coordinated with printing and embroidering service companies.
From March 2020 until December 2021, Caputo worked for NGU as the director of football operations. His duties included conducting helmet and shoulder pad fittings, maintaining the equipment room, pre-game locker set up, weekly equipment maintenance, organizing team travel arrangements, and updating daily operations to meet Covid-19 safety protocols, to name a few.
Caputo will be working directly under Equipment Manager Tony Iliano who had this to say about the new-hire: "I am excited to have Bryce join the Equipment staff at Limestone University. His past experiences working with the football teams at North Greenville University and Furman University, along with his passion for the Equipment field, made him a perfect fit for the Assistant Equipment Manager position."
