Limestone Saints Dominate Newberry in Commanding Victory

The Saints Tame the Wolves at Home in a 8-0 Victory

Gaffney, SC – On October 2, 2024, the Limestone Saints men's soccer team delivered an impressive performance, defeating the Wolves with a resounding 8-0 victory at Saints Field. The match drew a crowd of 110 fans who witnessed the Saints' offensive prowess and solid defense. The team was vocal on the field, communicating effectively throughout the game, which helped them build such an impressive lead.

Mark Radoki scored the first goal, assisted by Stefan Roeb. Kaiss Mansouri put the second goal in the back of the net, assisted by Johan Morel. These two goals were the only ones scored in the first half.

Limestone turned it on in the second half as Moritz Guettel scored the first goal of the second half. Johan Morel hit a rocket into the back of the net, assisted by Hugo Vien. Vien and Morel switched it up a bit as Hugo found the back of the net himself, assisted by Morel. Gregor Geru had himself a two-piece as he scored back-to-back goals, with one assisted by Tomas Echevarria. The last goal of the game was scored by Claudel N'goubou, who scored a header later in the game to put the score at 8-0.

The Saints' defense was impeccable, and there were no penalties in this game. This victory boosts Limestone's record to 6-0-1 overall and 4-0-0 in conference play.
