Mathews, N.C.- Men's Soccer took home the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Championship title Sunday 5-2 over Lenoir-Rhyne. Both teams played excellently throughout the match, however, Limestone's talent and determination helped them secure the win. The Saints have now gone back-to-back SAC Champions.
STORY OF THE GAME: 
First Half: 

• Limestone controlled the ball for much of the game.
• Lenoir-Rhyne took an early lead with a shot from Jaheim Smith as he was assisted by Harri Rowe, going up 1-0.
• Stefan Roeb scored his first goal of the season with a throw-in from Moritz Guettel he found the far end of the net tying the game at 1-1.
• Before the end of the first, the Bears went on to retake the lead with a shot from Raul Canas finding the top right of the goal.

Second Half: 

• Claudel N'Goubou scored and came out attacking the net in the second half as Gregor Geru found him in a perfect place through ball tying the game back up at 2-2.

• Kaiss Mansouri gave the Saints the lead a few minutes later an unassisted goal bringing the score to 3-2.
• Mark Radoki added to the lead as Marcelo Lopes fed him a ball leading him down the field and Radoki hit a low shot to the far corner, increasing Limestone's lead 4-2.
• Guettel put the Bears away on a penalty kick, bringing the final score to 5-2.
