Mars Hill, N.C.- The Limestone men's soccer team will play Mars Hill in the round of 32 of the DII NCAA National Tournament at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24^th at Meares Stadium.
Key Players:
Leading the charge was Mark Radoki, (Biberbach, Germany). Leading the charge was a graduate forward whose agility and precision made him a formidable opponent. Mark played in all 18 games, scoring 11 goals and assisting 5 times, amassing 27 points. His leadership on the field was unmatched, and he became a role model for younger players.
Another graduate forward, Claudel N'Goubou, (Auray, France). Another graduate forward was known for his speed and tactical intelligence. In 17 games, he scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists, contributing 19 points to the team's success. Hugo Vien, (Marseille, France). was the engine of the team. In 16 games, he scored 6 goals and assisted 2 times, earning 14 points. Hugo's versatility and endurance allowed him to control the midfield and support both the defense and the attack.
The backbone of the team's defense was their freshman goalkeeper, Nikolaj Bertelsen (Vejle, Denmark). Playing in all 18 games, Nikolaj's remarkable reflexes and composure under pressure helped maintain a solid defense, reflected in his impressive GAA of 0.56. His performances between the posts were often the difference between victory and defeat.
