Mars Hill, NC- #4 Men's Soccer, battled throughout a hard-fought South Atlantic Conference match against #12 Mars Hill. The Saints' talented field controlled the game throughout it, however, the Lions' aggressive offense helped keep them in the game resulting in a tie. Limestone drops to
(11-1-3, SAC 9-1-1) as Mars Hill moves to
(9-2-4, SAC 6-2-3). The team ends the season as Co-Champions with Coker.
STORY OF THE GAME:
First Half
- The Lions went up early in the game with a penalty kick by Adrain Faus putting them up 1-0.
- Tomas Echevarria went on the attack for the Saints putting them on the board with a goal right before half tying the game up 1-0.
Second half
- Limestone broke the deadlock tie with a goal from Mark Radoki as he was assisted by Stefan Roeb.
- With less than four minutes remaining Jordan Alexander tied the game up 2-2 helping Mars Hill end the game in a draw.
