Gaffney, SC- Limestone University's football team improved to 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the South Atlantic Conference on Saturday, Nov. 6, as the Saints rolled past Barton 40-26 at Saints Field.
Limestone tamed the Bulldogs, who fell to 3-7 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
The starting quarterback
Dustin Noller kept things rolling on the field as he threw for 310 yards and three touchdowns as the offense was rolling on all-cylinders.
In the first quarter, with 13:46 remaining, Limestone's
DJ Black caught a 60-yard touchdown pass from Noller. This impressive play took just two plays to cover 62 yards, resulting in Limestone taking an early lead with a score of 6-0.
Limestone kept things rolling in the first quarter, with 4:51 remaining, Limestone's Daniel Deneen Jr. successfully kicked a 43-yard field goal. This scoring drive was a methodical one, taking 14 plays to cover 64 yards and consuming 5 minutes and 24 seconds of game time. This field goal extended Limestone's led to 9-0.
In the second quarter, Jackson Parrish of Barton scored a touchdown with a 1-yard run. This touchdown brought Barton closer to Limestone, making the score 9-6 in favor of Limestone.
