Gaffney, SC- Baseball took on Anderson in a non-conference game as the Trojans pulled away late with the final coming out to (8-5) at the Founders FCU Stadium. The Saints fall to a record of (4-4, 0-0 SAC), and The Trojans move to a record of (4-2, 0-0 SAC).
Game Highlights:
Limestone took an early lead in the 2nd inning with Zach Greenberg doubling to right field, bringing Jermie Greene home, followed by Adams Faucett's single that scored Greenberg. Anderson responded in the 5th inning with K. Caccamise's 2 RBI single, tying the game at 2-2. Limestone briefly regained the lead in the bottom of the 5th with Sion Barnette's RBI single.
However, Anderson's big 6th inning, highlighted by B. Harrison's RBI double and C. Molinarol's 2 RBI single, put them ahead 7-3. Limestone managed to score in the 7th and 9th innings, but it wasn't enough to overcome Anderson's lead. Anderson sealed the game with an additional run in the 9th inning.
J. Legnard earned the win for Anderson, while Cale Wagoner took the loss for Limestone. C. Sauls secured the save for Anderson. Despite the loss, Limestone matched Anderson in hits, each team recording 10 hits in the game.
