Anderson, S.C.- Limestone University's baseball team had an action-packed day, playing a doubleheader against Auburn Montgomery and Southern Wesleyan. The games were filled with high-scoring innings and thrilling plays, showcasing the team's resilience and skill on the field. The Saints split the day and head into the week with a record of 4-3. 

Game 1:

Game Highlights:

• Auburn Montgomery Takes Early Lead: Auburn Montgomery jumped ahead in the second inning with R. Frankland's 2-RBI single. They extended their lead with a massive five-run third inning, highlighted by K. Hipp's three-run homer to left field.

• Limestone's Third Inning Response: Limestone answered back in the bottom of the third inning, scoring four runs. Contributions came from Ben Partridge, who reached on an error, Giuseppe Sei, who struck out swinging but brought a run home, and Sion Barnett, who singled to center field. Zach Greenbe capped off the inning with a triple to center field.

• Seventh Inning Surge by Auburn Montgomery: Auburn Montgomery widened the gap in the seventh inning, scoring five more runs. R. Frankland, B. York, C. Strachan, and Z. Dew each contributed with RBIs, pushing the score to 13-8.

• Limestone's Late Rally: Despite being down, Limestone made a valiant effort in the ninth inning. Ben Partridge's triple to left field drove in three runs, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
