Monroe, NC – The Limestone University men's golf team participated in the Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate, hosted by Wingate at the Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe, North Carolina. The tournament, held on March 17-18, 2025, features NCAA Division II men's teams competing in a highly competitive field.
After the first round, Limestone found themselves in 16th place with a total score of +37. The team faced tough competition, with notable individual performances from Phillip Mangset, who finished the round at +5, and Cole Ross, who ended at +7. Other team members, Lane Whitsell and Edgar Eriksson, scored +14 and +11, respectively. Rasmus Jonasson faced challenges, finishing the round at +26.
In the second round, Limestone maintained their 16th place position with a total score of +37. Phillip Mangset continued to lead the team, finishing the second round at +2, bringing his total to +7. Cole Ross scored +3 in the second round for a total of +10. Lane Whitsell and Edgar Eriksson scored +8 and +4, respectively, in the second round, bringing their totals to +22 and +15. Rasmus Jonasson finished the second round at +12, bringing his total to +38.
The team leaderboard is currently led by Grand Valley State, with a total score of -14, followed by USC Beaufort and Wingate. The competition remains intense as teams prepare for the final round.
