GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Limestone University men's golf team concluded their tournament at The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor with a total score of +46, finishing in 17th place. Despite the tough conditions, the team showed resilience and determination throughout the final round.
Lane Whitsell led the Saints with a score of 73 (+1) in the final round, bringing his total to +4. Whitsell's round included a birdie on the 8th hole and a strong finish with a birdie on the 18th.
Jacob Pennington improved his performance with a final round score of 73 (+1), ending the tournament at +21. Pennington managed to stabilize his game, particularly on the back nine.
Brock Reid posted a 77 (+5) in the final round, finishing at +16 overall. Reid had a solid front nine but faced challenges on the back nine.
Walker Ingram struggled with consistency, carding a 78 (+6) in the final round and finishing at +13. Ingram's round was highlighted by a birdie on the 2nd hole, but he encountered difficulties on the back nine.
Edgar Eriksson finished with a score of 81 (+9) in the final round, bringing his total to +21. Eriksson faced challenges throughout the round, including a double bogey on the 5th hole.
The team will look to learn from this experience and improve in future tournaments. Despite the setbacks, the Saints remain focused and determined to finish strong in their upcoming competitions.
