Greenville, S.C. – Limestone University dominated the 2025 Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling awards, with multiple athletes receiving top honors prior to the 2025 Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship semifinals.
Athlete of the Year: Kacie Kier of Limestone University was selected Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Year for the third straight year. The senior competed in 13 heats, including the team event this season. Kier posted 41 scores of at least 9.50 this season, including highlights of a 10.0 open pyramid, two scores of 9.90 in duo pyramid, a 9.80 score in seven-element acro, and a 9.95 in her aerial tumbling pass. In March, she was selected NCATA Athlete of the Week, as well as NCATA Athlete of the Week honorable mention.
Specialist of the Year: Limestone's Kaila Gamaldo was selected Specialist of the Year after her performance in the tumbling event all season. She recorded 17 scores of at least 9.00, including a 9.50 in the tumbling duo pass and 9.80 in the tumbling open pass with start values of 9.75 and 10.00, respectively.
