SALISBURY, N.C. – The Limestone University baseball team extended its postseason run with a big win over Coker on Saturday afternoon, using a five-run seventh inning and a dominant bullpen effort to seal a 7-5 victory at Newman Park in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament.

Limestone wasted no time getting on the board, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning.
Corey Hodierne opened the game with a double down the left field line, and after a single from
Ethan Bonocore,
Ben Partridge drove in the first run on a fielder's choice.
Sion Barnette followed with a double to left-center to give the Saints an early 2-0 lead.
Coker answered with a run in both the first and second innings to tie the game at 2-2. The Cobras took a 3-2 lead in the fifth on a sacrifice fly following a passed ball, but the Saints' bats came alive in the seventh.
With the bases loaded,
Zach Greenberg tied the game at 3-3 with a single through the left side. Barnette then broke the game open with a towering grand slam to left field, giving Limestone a commanding 7-3 lead.
Coker cut into the lead with a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth, but
Evan Soeffker closed the door with five strong innings of relief, allowing just two earned runs to earn the win.
