2021: Led the team with 11 appearances on the mound as a true freshman … posted a 2-1 record with a team-leading 6.23 ERA during a COVID-shortened season … added two saves … recorded 10 strikeouts over 13 innings out of the bullpen … tallied a strikeout over two scoreless innings in first career outing, picking up first career save in a 7-5 win at Mars Hill (2/20) … finished with a strikeout and a clean sheet in an inning of work against King (2/25) … registered a pair of strikeouts over 2.1 innings against Anderson (3/7) … worked out of a bases-loaded jam for a scoreless inning at Lincoln Memorial (3/13) … allowed a run, but struck out a batter over two innings to earn the save in a 9-7 decision against UVA Wise (3/20) … followed up with first career win, throwing 1.2 innings in a 14-11 win in the series finale against the Cavaliers (3/21) … took the loss in relief at Coker (3/27) … struck out two in a scoreless inning to earn a win in relief with a 19-12 decision against Newberry (4/2) … tossed a perfect inning of relief, recording one strikeout, against Lenoir-Rhyne (4/11).  
 
Ronald Reagan High School: Was a four-year standout with the Rattlers … his senior class combined for 112 wins over four seasons and was on pace to break the school record of 129 wins over a four-year stretch when senior campaign was cut short due to COVID … part of a senior class that combined for 27 playoff wins, two regional championships, and two state championship game appearances … team was ranked seventh nationally by Max Preps during senior year and No. 1 in Texas … was a Perfect Game/Rawlings Preseason All-American as a senior … named to preseason All-Region team prior to senior campaign … selected to the 2019 2D/Five Tool All-Star Game following junior year … selected for the 2019-2020 All-District Academic Team as a junior … earned a third straight Under Armor Preseason All-American Honorable Mention nod prior to junior season … was named to that same team prior to sophomore and freshman years … guided team to back-to-back state championship game appearances as a freshman and again as a sophomore.
 
Personal: Born on August 22, 2001, in Enid, Okla., Cale is the son of Michelle and Mark Wagoner … has one younger brother, James … played summer ball for San Antonio Missions, guiding the Flying Chanclas de San Antonio to the 2021 Texas Collegiate League Championship with a 32-7 overall record … made 12 appearances, picking up a win, while striking out 14 over 21.2 innings of work with San Antonio … majoring in Business Administration/Marketing.
