Christopher Valdez has been hired as the new Sports Information Director at Limestone University, bringing with him a wealth of experience in athletics media relations. Valdez previously worked as the Director of Athletics Media Relations at Coker University in Hartsville, SC, where he developed a new website for the athletic department and managed all phases of operations related to promoting Coker Athletics.

Leveraging his experience within the South Atlantic Conference and knowledge of NCAA procedures will ensure a seamless transition. I look forward to witnessing the positive impact he will have on our operations and the heightened visibility he will bring to our athletic programs and department” stated Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, Hailey Martin.
During his time at Coker University, Valdez also served as the lead statistician for all home events, oversaw media day events and promotional photo/video shoots, managed social media accounts, and assisted with creating and managing Coker Athletics' official website. Before his role at Coker University, Valdez worked as an Assistant at Lock Haven University, where he assisted in promoting LHU's 21 intercollegiate athletic programs.
Valdez brings diverse skills to his new role at Limestone University, including proficiency in Adobe Pro, Adobe Lightroom, photography, social media management, graphic design, and website management. He holds a master's degree in Sport Science with a concentration in Sport Management & International Sport Management from Lock Haven University and a bachelor's degree in Sport Management.
