Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Kaitlin Holman joins the Limestone Athletic staff in January of 2023. She will oversee the strength and conditioning programs of all the teams at Limestone and supervise an Assistant Strength Coach and a Graduate Assistant. Holman will have specific assignments with the following teams: Men’s Lacrosse, Baseball, Softball, Men’s Soccer, Field Hockey, Women’s Volleyball, Acrobatics & Tumbling, Cheer and Dance.
Holman comes to Limestone from University of Detroit Mercy where she was hired as Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning and served as Interim Director of Strength & Conditioning from June of 2022 to January of 2023. While there, Holman designed and implemented strength and conditioning routines for 15 DI men’s and Women’s teams. She was also responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the weightroom and oversaw the hiring and training of Assistant Coaches, Graduate Assistants, and Interns.
Holman spent one year at Legacy Center Sports Complex as the lead Sports Performance Coach for the 12 Elite Club softball and 13 Elite volleyball teams. Part of her duties included creating combines and analyzing workout data as well as programming, leading workout sessions, testing of athletes, organizing, and maintaining the weight room, and creating a schedule for daily/weekly/monthly use of the weight room facilities.
Prior to that, she spent two years with the University of Michigan as a research strength and conditioning coach. There she executed full body workouts for high school participants specific to soccer, incorporating neck strengthening exercises AND collecting data via hand-held dynamometer and supervised the weight room facility for paralympic athletes.
Holman is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist – Registered with Distinction (NSCA – CSCS, D*) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a Level 2 USA weightlifting coach (USAW – L2).
