Baker-Celis's journey in softball began at Carson-Newman University, where she excelled both on the field and in the classroom. She posted impressive stats as a pitcher, including a team-best 1.92 ERA and a 7-2 record in her final season. Baker's ability to perform under pressure was evident in her record-setting performances, such as striking out 10 batters in a relief effort against Wingate and Anderson.
In addition to her on-field success, BakerĀ also demonstrated strong leadership skills as a mentor and coach to her teammates. Her experience as a member of the team council at Anderson University further showcases her ability to settle disputes and foster a positive team environment.
Baker-Celis's dedication to both her athletic and academic pursuits has not gone unnoticed, as she has received numerous accolades, including the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award and NFCA All-America Scholar recognition.
