Tim Schachtner joined the Limestone University Strength and Conditioning staff in July of 2023. He is responsible for designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for Acrobatics & Tumbling, Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Lacrosse, Men’s Soccer, and Wrestling. He has also worked with Track & Field.
Before Limestone University, Schachtner spent four years as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland. While at Frostburg, he worked with Acrobatics & Tumbling, Field Hockey, Men’s Soccer, Sprints & Jumps, and Throws. He also worked with Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Women’s Basketball, and Football.
Schachtner has completed strength and conditioning internships at Iowa State University working with Olympic sports and Buena Vista University with all sports.
Schachtner earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Buena Vista University in 2016 and his Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Central Missouri in 2019. Schachtner is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS, *D), and a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC). He is also certified through USA Weightlifting as a Level 1 Weightlifting Coach.
