Tony Iliano enters his seventh year as the head equipment manager at Limestone University, joining the Saints staff in September 2013. Prior to coming to Limestone, he spent seven years working for minor league affiliates with several Major League Baseball organizations.

Most recently he has served as the home team clubhouse manager for the Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, in Albuquerque, N.M. from 2010-12. In that role, Iliano developed and managed the clubhouse budget while ordering, issuing and maintaining all team equipment and laundering uniforms, using an industrial washer and multiple chemical cleaning system.

He also supervised practice and game day setups, coordinated and packed player and team equipment for road trips and planned, purchased and prepared all pregame and postgame meals. In addition to those duties he hired and supervised a staff of assistants and bat boys, packed and shipped equipment for all player moves, worked closely with players from various cultures and interacted with the Dodgers minor league executives on a daily basis.

Iliano got his start with the Dodgers organization in February 2009 when he served as a minor league assistant equipment manager during spring training and the Fall Instructional League in Glendale, Ariz..

In that role, which he would hold through October 2012, he was responsible for daily equipment setup on all fields, issuing and maintaining equipment and laundering uniforms for up to 180 players and coaches on a daily basis. He also set up meeting rooms, assisted in international baseball shipments and served as acting minor league equipment manager on several occasions.

Prior to joining the Dodgers minor league system, Iliano worked with the Hickory Crawdads, the Single-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, in Hickory, N.C. from 2006-10. The last year of that stint was as the home and visitor clubhouse manager.

He was responsible for providing high level service to all players and coaches, home and away, as well as handling all aspects of the pregame meals. He also maintained team equipment, supervised a staff of bat boys and was responsible for all laundering of uniforms.

His first four years with the organization were spent as ticket manager. He was in charge of marketing tickets and ticket packages, processing ticket orders and preparing financial and statistical reports. Iliano also accounted for ticket revenue, maintained accounting records and trained and supervised ticket office employees.

Iliano graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sports Management with a double minor in Communication and Business and is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Mangers Association. He and his wife, Deanna, live in Spartanburg, S.C.
